Join Jahmale Ukson: Denim Recon Master Tailor, one of the official tailors for the 2012 Olympic Games, at the sewing workshop where you will get the chance to create your very own upscale African fabric teddy bear or tote bag and learn more about his pioneering brand Denim Recon London.
All ages and individuals welcome.
Workshop will consist of:
1) Making exclusive teddy bears & teddy bear key rings. Inspired by all attendees’ imagination.
2) A sewing lesson if needed on how to use a sewing machine.
3) Customisation of a garment using African fabrics (e.g. jeans: patch those holes; shirts/ jackets elbow patches, etc).
4. There’s the added option of making your own personalised tote bag.
(So feel free to bring along a garment of your choice).
The fabrics used for this will be African fabric and recycled denim.
All fabric & accessories will be provided. All you need is imagination.
