Two Africans scour the streets of Brixton. They are looking for the man whose stories changed the world. They’ve heard that he is White and that he works in a Big London institution, and has a long road in Brixton named after him. But surely this cannot be – his stories are too close to what they themselves have experienced. So, they have come to see this man with their own eyes.
THE MAN WHO CHANGED THE WORLD is an outdoor theatre performance by British-African company, Two Gents Productions. The performance features live music and interactive storytelling to explore what it means to be an African migrant in the UK today, and shows ways in which we, too, can make more out of life in the city.
Two Gents Productions is a theatre company that explores BIG stories and celebrates the role of migrants in our society. They believe in performance and dialogue. Their shows are always about starting a conversation and building community. This November they will be presenting their next big show, THE MOORS by Tonderai Munyevu, at Tara Theatre in Earlsfield.
